This beautiful lighthouse sits on the Westernmost point of the British Mainland in a remote Lochaber peninsula. The lighthouse was built by Alan Stephenson and the pink granite tower was completed in 1849. It is the only lighthouse in the UK built in the Egyptian style. It's an interesting journey to get to this very remote spot, but all the more beautiful for its unspoilt beauty.
American Falls, Niagara Falls, NY, USA. over 75,000 gallons per second go over the falls. This is the smaller of two main falls, with the smallest on the Right of the shot, Bridal Veil Falls. The main Horseshoe falls or Canadian Falls, see 260,000 gallons per second thunder down the drop into the river below. Worth a visit any time, in Winter you may be lucky to see an ice over.
Thfis place needs no introduction. Built as a mausoleum for the Mugal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1631 or his beloved Wife Mumtaz Mahal, built in marble with exquisite detail on the Right bank of the River Yamuna, it represents the pride of India. It can be a busy place to visit and there are a few restrictions, but well worth the effort to go.
